Everything.  I really enjoyed learning the differences between Dem & Repub.  I feel like I can have an intelligent conversation.	I don't like the PSD.

The website and excellent use of video and audio to help our learning.  The calculations of probable grades, current grades, 5% extra on the midterm test.	Want the ability to hand-in and receive back PSD in writing not through computer.
I liked how you showed both sides of the "spectrum" and made it easy to understand what was going on, wasn't afraid to tell about corruption.	I think we should get comments on the PSD assignments.
Joe Escobar was a great teacher.  He always made the info exciting/interesting.  Would tie different issues together to see the whole picture.
He's an excellent instructor and is able to get across what he wants in a way students understand.	Not exactly sure.  His system seems to work really well.
Everything about this class was great!  It kicks A$$	Joe Escobar is the best history instructor I've had at Lane so far.  It can't get any better than it is now.
This has been one of my favorite classes at LCC!  I like the style of teaching and the speed we moved at.  I enjoyed the information and how it was presented.  The movies we watched in class helped break up the time and were interesting.  GREAT CLASS! Thanks Joe.  You do and excellent job!	Computer quizzes should be for a grade as incentive to do well on them, not just take them.
The complete class time was used everyday.  I liked being able to use the class website for quizzes, printing handouts, and turning in assignments.  Taking the midterm when it was convenient for me was great and getting your test grade immediately was nice.
Very effective combination of visual media and lecture.
Escobar is an entertainer.  I'm not interested in history at all, but his lecture was really fun for me.	I could know about U.S. more than before.
I really like this class.  Joe you keep it real.	I didn't like the set questions for the PSD paper.   I think turning them in by computer is wonderful but the questions were really hard to understand.  And if we could have some review time in class for our tests, I think it would up our grades.
Very wise use of time and resources.  Knowledgeable about the subject.  Great to see an instructor that is this good in my field of study.	Nothing comes to mind.
Class was excellent!  I enjoyed that Escobar was enthusiastic about history.  I was expecting dry, boring history but I found the class to be very interesting.	The class website and internet quizzes were a useful tool that I wish more teachers at Lane would use because it is fairly common place at universities.  I would recommend Escobar as an instructor to other students.
I enjoyed the class because Joe offered the students an enthusiastic and fun outlook on history by using comparisons with daily life.	Possibly a few more graded assignments and making the computer quizzes each week worth points in consideration with what you get wrong and right.  Fun class.
I liked the infor that was taught.  He found interesting and important things to teach the students, and did a great job doing it.  He was very knowledgeable in the subject as well.	Class could be improved by studying a shorter period of history and get more in depth.  9 weeks to study 100 years isn't enough.
The enthusiasm the teacher showed in the subject and teaching things that I did not know before, overview of chapters.	I don't think anything needs to be changed except class length, so teacher can go into detail about chapters more.
The instructor was really ggod and the class was very easy to understand and do the work.  I liked it a lot.
Awesome class!  I've had a lot of history professors at Lane and you're by far and away the best.  I like that you discuss how to read into history and how to be subjective.  I hope to take more of your classes in the future.  You used videos very well, most other teachers will just put on a 70-minute video and that' all we'll see in class.  I feel my money was well spent, an education I couldn't get by just renting documentaries from Blockbuster.	No improvements I can think of.
Moving from lecture to video clips was very organized.  I actually got to see what the instructor was talking about.	I always like having open debates in class where people are each on a different spectrum.  More vocal class I guess.

The lectures were very good	This class is good because its very interesting and the teacher teaches history without his political view, therefore I can disagree with his personal thoughts and still learn and enjoy the class.
This class was very informative and general.	Since it is a history class the only way it could be improved is if it wasn't so much lecture.  But I understan.  This teacher knows his stuff!
Online quizzes and class time use.  Learned a lot, do well at Jeopardy.	More student involvement.
The class was very well organized.  The subject matter was interesting and I will take this instructor again.	I don't see any way to improve.
Computer usage.
It was very informative.  We were able to hear the perspectives of other historians.
Joe Escobar was very efficient and knowledgeable.   He made history interesting and fun (a great changed from the typical).
The versatile teaching, ex. computer, lecture, overhead, tv, radio, etc.	I have had great teachers in my life, and this term I can probably add Mr. Escobar to this list.  I had fun and complimented my knowledge in U.S. History.
The textbook was easy to read.	No.
He was interested in the subject which made me more interested.	Nothing.

He is very serious and into the subject.  He believes the subject is important knowledge.
I learned a lot about history not shown in textbooks because the material was uncomfortable or controversial.

Mr. Escobar is filled with energy, enthusiasm and knowledge in his subject.  He's terrific!
History is not easy for me but in this class I actually learned.  I am thankful for the computer quizzes.	Perhaps slow down sometimes and so much is crammed into the term, we learn a lot in a little amount of time.
