What did you like about the class?

The structure of the class was the best of all the classes I took this term.
The ability to attend a class in a “classroom” setting as opposed to having all the work posted online was nice. Instructor was extremely enthusiastic about subject often sharing personal stories that were relevant or added to the material.
Great pacing, good mix of media.
I appreciated how knowledgeable the instructor was, and his a ability to make the subject interesting
I liked that we had zoom lectures.
I really enjoyed to personal experience that the instructor had. I liked how the instructor gave stories with their lecture.

I liked that the lectures were well prepared and to the point. They matched the textbook material precisely and helped it stick better. I liked the multimedia that you used and EVEN your random student picker which was not too scary. The MindTap textbook was good, though pricey, and your Moodle organizing was very helpful. I think I will take another one of your classes later on. Your constant reminders for due assignments and things to remember were very useful. The only thing that I didn't like was having to remember other professors, which I don't think is necessary. But I was glad to not have to remember numbers or figures or dates in this class. Overall, I enjoyed the your teaching and I am glad that this was my first college class.
The zoom classes on Tues and Thurs. made the class a lot better than online classes I have taken in the past.
I loved how this class made us think critically. Nothing was taken for granted, and both side of every argument were represented fairly and in detail. There was no bias toward any past or present politics which was very refreshing in such a controversial time. Also class discussions helped to overturn many misconceptions that I, and I believe many of my fellow students, had about America history. This has been by far my favorite class this term.
This class was enjoyable and not overwhelming. It gave the history of the land and it's people the respect they deserve. The Instructor was fantastic and would recommend him to anyone interested in history. I would also recommend giving him a raise.
I enjoyed learning about certain aspects of history I didn't learn in highschool.
The book along with Cengage is really nice to follow and study from.
Other than understanding the material well, I really appreciated Instructor Escobar for being reasonable and understanding throughout the term.

Maybe not have graded zoom class meetings

Some of the political tangents, while they might have relevance to the material, or offer a humorous juxtaposition, where a little lengthy and got a bit off topic.
I know its not helpful, but taking this class online made it difficult, It felt like a lot of what I read could have been explained more effectively person to person. 

I wish the instructor gave us more time on tests.

I think the class was fairly hard. There was too much reading involved in the class and not a lot of hands-on learning. Maybe add a project or two. 

I think the mindtap should be after a chapter. with class it will help to check how much we learned 

It was sort of reading-heavy and I took a lot of notes. Some of the videos were a bit graphical for me. The schedule was a little confusing, but I don't think that changing that would be possible. Other than that, I think the class doesn't need any changes. Thanks for teaching me!

Get it back into the classroom.
I think there could be more connections between the textbook and class lectures. Meaning, that while in lecture it is obvious were in the textbook related information is found. Maybe it was just my notes (I struggle with effective note taking), but I had trouble connecting what I read in the chapters with what was taught in lecture.

Honestly I think the only thing wrong with this class is that it was online. 

If I had taken this class in person it would of been better.

The need for completing two chapters in the first week was a little bit of a struggle with all of my other classes. Perhaps spreading that out somehow could be beneficial to students.
Doesn't need improvement.
