There are 50 questions total, all are multiple choice questions or matching. You will need 2 (two) number 2 pencils if you are taking it on paper. The test is unlimited - open notes, open computer, and open book.

10 questions are the shortcut keys (see Critical Keystrokes handout). I consider Save the most important key combo on the computer, Undo is a close second.

20 Vocabulary words

You will also need to know about the following:

Alt+tab

Backup - what and why?

My Documents, (User Name) Documents

Ctrl+alt+del

Tabstops in Word (focus on Left, Right, Center, and Decimal tabstops on the Ruler)

Parts of a menu (arrows - more menu, bullets - select one from group, shortcut keys - like Critical Keystrokes, check marks - selcted/active, elipses... means it opens a dialog box, Print... vs Print) menus are in mainly non-Microsoft programs

Default Toolbars in most non-Microsoft programs (defalt toolbar & formatting toolbar)

Save vs Save As vs Rename

Parts of a File window (Title Bar, Menu Bar, Toolbar(s), file icons, folder icons)

Labelling parts of Ribbon and Office interface such as tabs, contextual tabs, Quick Access Toolbar, Live Preview, etc...
